How to Make Thesis Abstract

Thesis Abstract is the whole summary of the Thesis documentation. It must be brief, indicating only the highlights of the project. It must encourage the reader to further read the whole document. So, here's the format:

  • Purpose
  • Method
  • Conclusion

Example:

The main purpose of this study was to investigate if it is possible to dispense small and big electronic components managed by a student assistant in the Electronics Laboratory; to find out if it could eliminate many manual process of borrowing for the student aid and the borrower, and if the project could secure and track its system users to limit the fraudulent system borrowers.

A survey was carried out within the Computer Engineering and Electronics Technology Department. Questionnaires were sent out and administered by the researchers with the permissions of different faculty head. For the whole population of 116, almost 98% responses were received. It was found out that the borrowing process is being neglected. It wasn’t efficient for the borrowers to fill up the borrower’s slip before they could retrieve the needed materials for their exercises. The main conclusions were that the management of borrowing electronic components is very time-consuming and the borrowing system is not very well implemented.

To find a solution about this problem, the researchers tried to build and successfully operated an automatic dispenser for the frequently used items within the Electronics Laboratory. It introduces a new and fast security with the use of biometrics that is used to certify if the user was authorized by the faculty or admin to borrow items from the machine.

  • Keep the answers short and brief
  • Thesis Problems may vary over time due to hardware or software or management restriction

For example:

Questions:
What will the machine looks like?
